Since 1985, Mr. Statler has concentrated his practice
in the defense of commercial trucking, automobile, and product liability
claims. Mr. Statler has successfully tried over 75 jury trials to verdict
in both state and federal courts throughout central and eastern Pennsylvania.
He also has substantial experience in the handling of uninsured and underinsured
motorist claims and has a working knowledge of Pennsylvania's Motor Vehicle
Financial Responsibility Law.
He is a member of the Cumberland County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.
He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Trucking Industry
Defense Association (TIDA), Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association, Defense
Research Institute and Harrisburg Claims Association. He was a member of
the Lawyers' Advisory Committee, United States District Court, Middle District
of Pennsylvania from 1992 to 1995 and served as Chairman from 1994 to 1995.
Mr. Statler serves as an adjunct professor at the Dickinson School of Law
of the Pennsylvania State University for the Trial Advocacy course.
Mr. Statler is the author of: "The Owner/Operator Presumption-Defense
of Automobile Liability Cases," Counterpoint, February, 1987; "Defending
the UIM Carrier at Underinsured Motorist Arbitrations," Counterpoint,
October, 1987; "Mary Carter Settlement Agreements: A Primer," Counterpoint,

Mr. Statler is a member of Silver Spring Presbyterian Church where he served
as a member of the Board of Trustees.
Mr. Statler is also active in the Mechanicsburg Wildcats Varsity Football
Boosters Club.
Mr. Statler resides in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Elizabeth.
